MANHUNT: US Marshalls seek Pennsylvania man who threatened to ‘put a bullet’ in Trump’s head

McAdoo, PA — Federal law enforcement officials are on the hunt for a Pennsylvania man who allegedly made death threats against a local district attorney and threatened to “put a bullet” in President Donald Trump’s head.

Shawn Christy, 26, is the subject of a “large-scale” search by U.S. marshals, the FBI and the Secret Service after authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.

The warrant was issued after Christy posted to his Facebook page that if Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli (D) “keep[s] it up,” he “promise[s] to put a bullet in your head as soon as I put one in the head of President Donald J. Trump.”

Christy had earlier plead guilty to making terroristic threats against a tax collection clerk and police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

“He is believed to be a clear and present danger to the immediate law enforcement community,” U.S. Marshals official Robert Clark told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Christy was also once the subject of a restraining order by former Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

In 2011, a Pennsylvania State Trooper visited Christy’s home after it was revealed that he was planning to attend a book signing in Bloomington, Minnesota at which Palin was scheduled to appear.

Palin had obtained the restraining order against Christy after complaining that he had threatened her and said he was “coming for her” in Alaska.

Marshals are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to Christy’s arrest. Anyone with information on Christy’s whereabouts is urged to call the federal tip line at 484-358-1974.
